Cha Cha Cha a Disappointment

Cha! Cha! Cha! 2635 NE Broadway Portland, OR 97232 View Map (503) 288-1045.

I ordered a carnitas burrito; my wife ordered a taco salad.

Burrito was wrapped so limply it looked sad. You almost had to eat with a fork as if you held vertically it almost folded in half. Meat had no real flavor. Tastewise required lots of hotsauce to make pallatable. But I found the red sauce too hot and the green ok.

Taco Salad tasted exactly like the burrito. Which is not a good thing. The shell was soft and not crispy.

Bottom line: Ole Ole even beats this place. Still huntin' for a good mission-style burrito. We will not give up.

Southeast Chinese Delivery

Gold Bowl Restaurant
3582 SE Powell Blvd
Portland, OR

Delivered to our house in under 45 minutes (They will deliver to southeast portland).
Telephone Service was ok, though they accept only cash, with $15.00 minimum purchase.

Food ordered: chicken and brocolli and shrimp and scallops with veggies.

Both orders were unacceptable. Chicken was totally dry. Scallops were miniscule. And the flavor didn't exist. The brocolli had been cut in a hurry and was not well presented, meaning long stalks that were ripped off, not cut. The main complaint, no flavor, no spices, just some meat or fish and veggies heated up in a walk and shoved in a togo box.

Granted, total came to $21 bucks but we have lots of leftovers and I'm a platecleaner.

On a plus side, the rice was nice and white.

Somebody help us find good chinese food in southeast portland!
